brand new

QCAB interiors are built for daily use, and a simple cleaning routine helps preserve the finish, reduce wear, and keep your cab looking sharp. Use the guidance below based on your material type, and always keep cleaning solutions away from elevator fixtures such as buttons, key switches, and indicators.

Satin Finish Stainless Steel (No. 4)

For satin stainless steel, use a non-oily stainless steel polish (example: Stainless Steel Magic). A little goes a long way.

Recommended method

  • Apply a small amount to a soft cloth (do not spray directly on the surface)
  • Wipe and buff using long vertical strokes following the grain
  • Finish with a clean, dry towel

Avoid

  • Swirling motions (can create visible swirl marks)
  • Excess product buildup
  • Contact with elevator fixtures

Mirror Finish Stainless Steel (No. 8)

For mirror-finish stainless, use a good quality glass cleaner.

Recommended method

  • Spray cleaner onto a soft cloth (not directly onto the panel)
  • Clean using long vertical strokes following the grain
  • Buff dry with a clean microfiber towel

Avoid

  • Even mirror finishes have a grain pattern, which typically runs vertically. Avoid circular wiping.

Muntz Metal (Bronze) Satin (No. 4) or Polished (No. 8)

Use clear water only with clean, soft towels to protect the surface and its coating.

Recommended method

  • Lightly dampen a soft cloth with water
  • Wipe in long vertical strokes
  • Buff dry in long vertical strokes with a clean towel

If streaking occurs

  • Use a mix of 90% water and 10% denatured alcohol to slow drying time and reduce streaks

DO NOT

  • Use paper towels (they can scratch over time)
  • Use circular or swirling motions
  • Use metal polish on lacquered surfaces
  • Metal polish can break down the lacquer and lead to costly refinishing.

Plastic Laminate

Plastic laminate is durable and easy to maintain with basic cleaning products.

Recommended method

  • Clean with warm water and mild soap (hand soap or dish soap)
  • Rinse with clean water and dry with a soft cloth

Stubborn stains

  • Use hypochlorite bleach (example: Clorox) for up to 1 minute
  • Rinse thoroughly with clean water immediately after
  • Do not allow extended exposure, as it may cause discoloration

DO NOT

  • Abrasive cleaners
  • Acidic or alkaline cleaners (they can damage the decorative surface)

Quick Reminder

Always protect elevator fixtures. Apply cleaning products to the cloth first and keep liquids away from buttons, key switches, displays, and electrical components.
